  • S137 Allowance 2017 - 18 - The Department of Communities and Local Government (DCLG) has informed NALC that the appropriate sum for the purpose of section 137(4)(a) of the Local Government Act 1972 (the 1972 Act) for local (parish and town) councils in England for 2017-18 is £7.57.
  • CAPALC is affiliated to NALC (the National Association of Local Councils) our national body that lobbies government on behalf of the parish sector.There are more than 2,000 elected Town, Parish and Community councillors in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough working to improve their community. This website is open for anyone to view without the need for passwords or log in details.

  • Local Council Award Scheme
    The scheme is managed on behalf of local councils by the NALC Improvement and Development Board (IDB). Councils can apply for an award at one of three levels.
